Overview
A one day Source of the Nile expedition introduces you to the adventure city of East
Africa, Jinja. Here, River Nile, the longest in the world boasts its source. It is a 2 hour
drive away from Kampala but time might vary due to traffic. Lake Victoria, the
largest fresh water lake in Africa and the second in the whole world fits the
reputation of being the source of the great River Nile. Back in the day, Europeans
planned expeditions to Uganda.
The first one discover the source of the Nile was John Speke on the 3rd of August
1858, sponsored by the Royal Geographical Society. On this one day Source of the
Nile expedition, a monument at the exact point where the River flows from the lake

Embark on an adventurous journey as you visit the cultural and scenic Sezibwa fals
located in Mukono district. It is rch with Buganda history and heritage. Also ake part
in the adrenaline-fueled ziplining activity in Mabira Forest, Griffin falls beneath the
thick canopies. In just one day, you will experience the beauty of Eastern Uganda.

Itenary
After a fingerlicking good breakfast early in the morning. We pick you from your
accommodation and begin our high way adventure, along the Kampala-Jinja
highway. First stop at the 7m Sezibwa falls, and dive into a nature-cultural
experience. Coupled with a natural eco environment and a relaxed beautiful serena.
Proceed to Griffin falls in Mabira Forest for a nature walk and a zipling adventure,
marking our morning activities. Traverse to Jinja town for lunch at Java house and
after, link to the Ripon falls the once believed to be the source of the Nile.
Embark on a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile in the late afternoon. Enjoy the
relaxing views of shrubs along the shores, the clear skies and the cool breeze. Birders
might be lucky to spot various bird species too. Have fun take photos with an
extended ride to Lake Victoria where you will experience portion of water drifting to
the north forming the great Nile. Do some shopping afterwards at the art and craft
gallery.
