Overview

The most common safari to Kidepo Valley National Park is the 3 days Kidepo Valley
Wildlife Circuit. It engulfs you in a satisfying wildlife experience and community
engagement. Kidepo Valley National Park is located in Northeastern Uganda in
Kaabong district, Karamoja region. It is home for abundant wildlife, lions, buffaloes,
giraffes, elephants, leopards etc. It is the only National Park where you find the
ostrich, the largest bird on earth. This vast chunk of land was the home for Dodoth
pastoralists and IK farmers until 1962, when the game reserve was named a National
Park.

The almost extinct Ik tribe still resides along the borders of this park. Most of the
park is open tree savannah because of differences in rainfall. The Narus valley where
the beautiful Narus river flows is ideal for gamedrives as animals always gather here
to quench their thirst. Kanangarok (also spelled as Kanatarok) is a tepid hot spring
being the main source of water in the park. Kidepo is a home to 77mammals,
elephants, leopard, bush duiker, jackal, bushbuck, bush pig, ostrich, buffalo and
much more.

The 3 days Kidepo Valley Wildlife Circuit will embark you on gamedrives,
Community visits, hikes and nature walks.
